Es una mezcla de mono- y diglicéridos de coco unida a óxido de etileno. Por eso, aunque se ve como un aceite, se dispersa en agua y en bases de tensioactivos sin enturbiarlas. Repone parte de la grasa que el limpiador le quita a la piel (efecto engrasante) y ayuda a solubilizar aceites esenciales y activos.It is a blend of coconut mono- and diglycerides bonded to ethylene oxide. So, although it looks like an oil, it disperses in water and surfactant bases without clouding them. It replaces some of the oils a cleanser strips from the skin (a refatting effect) and helps solubilise essential oils and actives.

- Prepara primero la base de tensioactivos (champú, gel o jabón líquido).Make the surfactant base first (shampoo, gel or liquid soap).
- Agrega el PEG-7 cocoato de glicerilo tal cual, en frío, y mezcla suave para no hacer espuma.Add the PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate as is, cold, and stir gently to avoid foam.
- Si vas a perfumar, puedes mezclar antes el aceite esencial con él y luego agregarlo a la base.If you are scenting the product, you can premix the essential oil with it and then add it to the base.
- Ajusta el espesor y el pH al final, después de agregar todos los ingredientes.Adjust thickness and pH at the end, after all ingredients are in.

- No reemplaza al tensioactivo: suaviza la fórmula, pero no limpia por sí solo.It does not replace the surfactant: it softens the formula but does not cleanse on its own.
- Agregar engrasantes puede cambiar el espesor de un gel: ajusta la viscosidad al final.Adding refatting agents can change a gel’s thickness: adjust viscosity at the end.
- Si la fórmula lleva agua, necesita conservante.If the formula contains water, it needs a preservative.
- Es etoxilado (PEG): algunos sellos de cosmética natural no lo aceptan.It is ethoxylated (PEG): some natural-cosmetics labels do not accept it.
