Por sí solo no da cuerpo: necesita un compañero graso que forme la red que sostiene la crema. Es uno de los componentes de muchas ceras emulsionantes, como la CreamMaker.It is cetearyl alcohol (a blend of cetyl and stearyl alcohol) bonded to about 20 units of ethylene oxide. That makes it strongly water-loving (high HLB). On its own it adds no body: it needs a fatty partner to build the network that holds the cream. It is one of the components of many emulsifying waxes, such as CreamMaker.

La tienda indica 0,5–30 %, pero los niveles de 15–30 % son para geles transparentes especiales, no para empezar. - Pésalo con la fase oleosa junto con el alcohol cetílico (o el estearato de glicerilo). También se puede disolver en la fase acuosa caliente.Weigh it into the oil phase together with the cetyl alcohol (or glyceryl stearate). It can also be dissolved in the hot water phase.
- Calienta las dos fases a baño María hasta 70–75 °C.Heat both phases in a water bath to 70–75 °C.
- Une las fases y mezcla con batidora de inmersión 1–2 minutos; sigue mezclando a mano mientras se enfría.Combine the phases and stick-blend for 1–2 minutes; keep stirring by hand as it cools.
- Por debajo de 40 °C agrega el conservante y los ingredientes sensibles al calor.Below 40 °C add the preservative and heat-sensitive ingredients.

- Solo no hace una crema estable: combínalo siempre con un alcohol graso o con otro emulsionante de HLB bajo.On its own it does not make a stable cream: always pair it with a fatty alcohol or another low-HLB emulsifier.
